Mary Cucarola has been a CPA since 1989, working in public accounting and private industry. She worked for the long time established Denver CPA firm, Karsh Consulting, P.C., from 1988 until 1992 in both the tax and audit departments.
An entrepreneur, she has owned several small businesses over the past 15 years including a wholesale produce packaging company, a small specialty food manufacturing company and a gift basket business, all located in lower downtown Denver in the Denargo Market area. She sold all of her business interests in 2006.
Mary is a member of American Society of CPAs, the Colorado Society of CPAs, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the American Society of Women Accountants. She belongs to the Shrine of St. Anne Parish in Arvada, where she served on both the school and parish finance committees for several years.
She grew up on the western slope of Colorado in Grand Junction graduating from Grand Junction High School. She attended Mesa State College graduating with an A.S. degree in General Studies, and then the University of Colorado graduating with a B.S. degree in Business Administration & Accounting.
She lives in Westminster, Colorado and maintains a second home in Telluride, where her mother was born and raised. Her hobbies include skiing, golfing, hiking, cooking and reading.
